IMA Exemplary Global Board Member Award (IEBM)

The IMA Exemplary Global Board Member Award recognizes a member of the IMA Global Board who, consistent with IMA’s Mission and Global Core Values, exemplifies through preparation, participation, and service what a Board member should be and do. This individual, regardless of length of service to IMA, serves as an example for all Board members and sets a standard for superior performance.

Must serve on the IMA Global Board of Directors and is not inclusive of local boards. If you would like to recognize a local board member for their volunteer contributions, please consider nominating them for one of the other awards. 

• Embraces IMA’s Mission and Global Core Values.
• Exhibits service leadership by developing and inspiring others.
• Promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion by encouraging and respecting alternative points of view.
• Exhibits a remarkable level of engagement and commitment to effectively advance IMA’s mission.
• Serves as a role model by demonstrating excellent board etiquette and fulfilling the primary responsibilities of a board member: the duty of care, loyalty, foresight, and obedience.
• Provides leadership and strategic direction by collaborating with fellow board members and guiding the group to successful outcomes while exhibiting empathy and self-awareness.
• Preferred: Holds the CMA^® (Certified Management Accountant) certification.
